This was a commission I colored. It was too cool to finally color something other than men in tights for once.

Well after a little playing I finally found some interesting ways to use the smudge tool. Not a true "good" example, but the best one can come up with after midnight. :)

I've been studying a lot of fine artist in an effort to be more colorful--pun intended.

Sometimes digital can go towards your benefit, sometimes it can go towards your demise. This color study was living proof of the latter. I kept repainting the water cause I couldn't connect with the color. I'm tired of this. Excuse me waitress, another round please.

I did this pic a couple of weeks ago. After I inked it, I thought it was blah. The puppies came out cute in some places, but still....blah.

Do I have a thing for redheads and not know it? Anyhoow, I've been playing around with adding an animation flavor to my style. Actually I've been playing around with it for a while, this is the only pic that proves it. LOL

This is sad! I just looked and my last blog update was nearly a month ago. Whoa!!!! Oh well, this pic is just an experiment in color.

I saw a picture of Jamie Hammer so I figured it would be a good pic to practice on.

This started out playing with brushes in Photoshop to see which ones I liked to ink with. Well then came ref, color and...

I'll admit lakes (and bodies of water in general) are starting to get a little boring. Oh well, at least it's something. :)

I told myself I would hang out at Craig Mullins site until I was motivated to paint something. Now, I painted something. I'm going back into my hole now.

I did this and started to play with texturing brushes...then my PS froze. Apparently digital is only smarter when you save periodicly.

I did a lil sketch in PS. I've been studying manga again so her eyes are a lil bigger than usual.

After being floored by Daarken (www.daarken.com) I wanted to do some color studies.

This great drawing was done by Jonboy Meyers (http://scribble.ws/). I saw this pic on his site today and wanted to color it. Usually Monika is done in a saturated palette so I chose to go a little less saturated. What's important to her character is making sure you accentuate her...ahem...sword. :)

I did this for a drawing jam over at drawingboard.org. This "quick" drawing took longer than I expected. I messed up so many things I basically re-inked it in Photoshop--and it still doesn't look right. Oh well, defeats the purpose if I stop now.

Tom Bancroft did this picture for "The Cartoonist" magazine. I saw this picture in b&w and yearned to color it. I asked Tom if I could do it and here she is--it's such a cool drawing.

I don't know what to call it...just playing.

Just a little sketch. I made a mistake and started to render her head more...which defeats the purpose.

This was supposed to be a redhead....it didn't work out. :) I liked it better this way.

Is her butt a little big or is it just me? Yeah it's too big, but you see...I didn't change it. LOL

I've always sucked at reflective surfaces (before you think, 'hey Adam you still do') so this was an experiment. It was done with Painter.

I guess I never thought of getting one of these blogs...until I found out it was free. :) I'll post something before Christmas--I swear.
